What is the best health insurance and life insurance policies to go with? I am recently out of the military and need to purchase an individual health ins policy. However, I am not sure which ones are the best. I am a student, do they offer any good student policies? Also, is the SGLI to VGLI conversion a good change to make? If not, which is better term or whole life insurance policies?
Insurance Policies? Can I have it in my Policy that if something happens to my house the insurance will settle the money with me, instead of paying checks to builders directly?
What are the MaineCare health insurance policies on this? If a person is covered under MaineCare Insurance, what are the policies regarding doctor's visits and such? My sister plans on having a homebirth and doesn't need to use her health insurance unless there is an emergency and she needs to go to the hospital. Will MaineCare still cover it or will they give her a hard time?
How can I trace old insurance policies and books in Glasgow? I was an insurance agent in approx 1966 with the Cooperative Insurance Society based in Glasgow. I had policies both industrial and OB, plus my own book. I left the UK in 1967 and came back recently. How can I trace the policies and my book for which I have never received payment? I have lost all policy numbers etc.
who ownes the 2 insurance policies on home purchased thru land contract? 2 insurance policies were purchased on a home that burned down. the home was being sold under a land contract. the buyer was (unknowingly) paying for both the insurance policies. the seller now wants the payout from both policies. is he entitled to the money from both policies and should he be paid the remaining balance on a house that has now been totaled by fire?
Is there a limit on the number of life insurance policies one person can have? My husband has 5 or 6 life insurance policies on himself, all with me as the beneficiary. He has 2 policies through his union, 1 through his job, and the rest he purchased. We live in California, I was wondering if this is legal? If he were to die would I be entitled to the money from all the policies? I think there is no need to have so many policies & continues to pay for them, one is fine. Please advise.
I have heard that there are companies that BUY life insurance policies no longer wanted for cash? I understand that some companies (factors?) buy unwanted life insurance policies that are no longer contestible (owned over two years) for a cash payment (some percentage of the face value of the policy) and then pay the premiums because they will eventually get the proceeds when the owner dies. Does anyone here have experience with this procedure? Does anyone know a list of such companies when one has such a policy that has been in force a long time? All replies are appreciated.
How do you find out what Life Insurance Policies your husband/spouse has take out on you? I am a woman in general good health with no ailments or terminal disease. My husband had a $500,000 life insurance policy on me. I had originally signed a much lower amt to cover any funeral fees (the basic) for unexpected death, however, he deliberately raised it this much to half a million dollars without my knowledge. He currently has other life insurance policies, however, has mentioned it is only placed on him. I called the life insurance company in question and asked my policy to be deleted, however, I was told that it was not possible because my spouse was the Primary holder of that account. ALSO, I was told that even after a divorce, he could still have that insurance on me and there wasn't anything I could do about it. I am currently divorcing him over this matter and we have 4 children. How do I find out all of the insurance policies he may have on me and the kids? Any advise would be appreciated. Also, I might add that there is more to it about divorcing him than just that. This was just the last straw that made me want to get out. He has been very controlling and manipulative all of the time we have been married. Thanks to all of the answers I have received so far.
Can you own two home owners insurance policies? I have one Home owners insurance policy. It just barely covers the cost of rebuilding which is close to the mortgage amount, in case of fire etc. Can I get a 2nd Home owners insurance policy to compensate me for my losses outside of the actual building of the house it self?

Can I own two life insurance policies in the same time? Do I get payment from both insurance companies depending on how many I insured or it will end up no one pays the bill? Whether I will surrender all the insurance policies at the time of market down? I need experts answer? Dear Friends Actually I took 20 insurance policies on all the private insurance companies. The market is down now. Daily my net assets value are decreasing. No trend for increasing. Whether I will surrender all of my policies immediately and get the amount is my question. Because my account now shows (i.e net assets value shows below the amount what I paid) Net assets value is below the premium amount paid.
Is there an insurance company that had maternity available to individual insurance policies? I am switching to a career that does not have a group plan and need insurance for a possible pregnancy in the near future. I am having trouble finding any good priced insurance that has maternity available other than Blue Cross under an indivdual policy. With Blue Cross I am looking at $300 for a monthly premium...just for a maternity option. Then add a $200 premium for basic health insurance. HELP!!!
Can I have two health insurance policies? I already have health insurance through my wife's company, but my company is now starting to offer insurance. We just renewed our policy at my wife's company, and that won't run out until June 30 next year. My company's insurance will start August 1. Benefits are better with my wife's company, and even though we have to pay, I'd rather have that. Any advice?
Is it legal for an insurance company to not cover you if you stay with that company but change policies? I am trying to get a health insurance policy with Blue Cross/Blue Shield of IL. I have had and HMO policy with them for about 3 years. My cobra policy with them is about to run out shortly as of March 1. I was in the process of trying to get another policy with them. I had the understanding that they would cover me completely since I had been covered with them for 3 years. Was I mistaken? Can they reject me just like anybody else? Do they not have to accept my medical pre -existing conditions? I thought they did since they had been covering them for this amount of time. I do not know anything about the law. Is there any place I could look to find out my rights in this matter? I have to know soon. I do not want to be without insurance.
Are there any disadvantages to being covered by 2 health insurance policies? I am currently covered by my husband's VERY GOOD health insurance. However, now that I have reached the 5-year anniversary at my current job, I am eligible to join my company's insurance for free (no premiums). The only thing is... it sucks. It's a straight PPO, no preventative care, everything covered at 80%/20%, no pre-existing condition coverage. I would like to stay on my husband's plan, but join my employer's plan as well as a back-up in case anything major happens. Can I do this? Are there any disadvantages if the "bonus" policy is completely free? Do I choose who my primary insurance is, or do the insurance companies? What else do I need to know? Thank you so much for your help.

Can I be on two car insurance policies at once? I recently got my license and am under my mothers car insurance policy, however; I'm staying at my aunts this summer and have to drive my pap's car to work. My pappy (98 yrs old) is transferring the car in my name..and getting insurance in my name only for 6 months. My question is..can i be on two policies (a state farm and nationwide) at once? Or would I have to be taken off of the one with my mother? My mother is being rude about it and won't call, so I am asking here.
